antiportrait - resentful

Resentful.

Seventh of twelve in a series of "anti-self-portraits" that i used for my final project last year. The concept was pretentious, and the execution was poor. But here they are: a set of images that either LIE, tell the honest truth, exaggerate the truth to the point of inacuracy, or just berate myself needlessly.

I was attempting to both hide and expose myself simltaneously. I was attempting to play assumed roles for the camera. This was a trainwreck.

All manipulations were done by hand, on the negatives themselves, or as part of the darkroom process. Materials: salt, rubber cement, clear tape, markers, pencil, sugar, glass, transparent film.
